The Kuramoto model considers a system of globally coupled oscillators, defined using the following equation [6].

The Kuramoto Model and it's corresponding analysis assumes the following to be true [4];

Where θi is the phase of oscillator i, ωi is the natural frequency of oscillator i, N is the total number of oscillators in the system and K is a constant referred to as the coupling constant.
The Kuramoto Model and it's corresponding analysis assumes the following to be true [4];
- All oscillators in the system are Globally Coupled.
- Individually, the oscillators are identical, except for possibly different natural frequencies ωi.
- The phase response curve depends on the phase between two oscillators.
- The phase response curve is of a sinusoidal form.
